IBCOS GOLD is a fully integrated business management system designed specifically for use by Dealers, Distributors, Importers and Hire Companies. Individual programs are taken from the suite to cover the required areas of operation and installed to match the company’s requirements. The supply of software to the Agricultural Dealer is the rootstock of our company. For over 20 years, the system has been developed in co-operation with Dealer Principals and their staff. The benefits of this co-operation are that new users of IBCOS GOLD have access to a computer system that talks their language and meets their needs. AGCO Because of a high level of cooperation between Agco and Ibcos, we can offer our dealers a range of products designed to speed up working routines, avoid duplication and guarantee data accuracy. Price CDs Manufacturer price CDs are available to all Ibcos users. By converting the AGCO price CD to GOLD format, the dealer's parts file is automatically updated with new Retail and Dealer Nett prices. A report at the end of the exercise shows the overall movement for accountancy purposes. This is a time-saving routine providing accurate pricing minutes after a price change is made. Click here to see a full CD list. Warranty Whilst the AGCO system is not fully electronic, the GOLD developments save a vast amount of time completing Warranty forms. The current routine allows for an automatic production of the Agco Warranty Form from details input into GOLD to administer the costs of warranty and the loss and gain of such an exercise within the dealership. CDROM / Invoicing Links Ibcos can provide an automatic data link between the Agco PC with its CD images (Electronic Parts Catalogue) and GOLD. A picking list of parts to be sold is raised on the PC and on completion passed automatically to the GOLD system for pricing, extending and subsequent invoicing. This saves duplication, guarantees accuracy and avoids 2 PCs on the counter. Stock Orders Stock orders, emergency or monthly, can be raised on Ibcos GOLD and sent direct to Agco electronically. This avoids re-keying the details at both the dealer and supplier ends, thus avoiding mistakes and making the operation both speedy and seamless. John Deere John Deere has produced two software packages to help the Dealer interface seamlessly between the IBCOS GOLD system and John Deere's own computers. POINT stands for Parts On the Internet This transfers stock orders raised via IBCOS GOLD, via the JD PC and the Internet, to John Deere’s own computer avoiding the need to print out details and post/fax them through. Because the transfer is electronic the order is processed immediately by John Deere and the parts can be delivered without administrative delay. In order to take advantage of this, it is necessary to have a link from the machine running IBCOS GOLD and the John Deere PC, which must have internet access. VISION is John Deere’s electronic Parts Catalogue. From GOLD’s Point of Sale Invoicing module, a dealer may call up the Parts Catalogue, check specification, availability and price for the customer’s verification, then transfer the details as an item on to the GOLD invoice.
