IBCOS GOLD software was originally developed with the Dealer very much in mind, serving Agricultural, Horticultural, Construction, Plant Hire and Vehicle Sales markets. We had been aware for a long time that the addition of a Distribution Module to the standard GOLD software package would also make it applicable to suppliers of those original customers. Accordingly, in 1998, the Distribution Module was launched providing support to Sub-Dealers, Importers, Wholesale Operations and general businesses usually on the periphery of the main business within the Agricultural and Construction supply industries.

Developed in conjunction with a large Agricultural Dealership, a Wholesaler and Importer, IBCOS GOLD now offers a multitude of features to assist with the administration of these types of business.

IBCOS GOLD is a fully integrated business management system designed specifically for use by Dealers, Distributors, Importers and Hire Companies. Individual programs are taken from the suite to cover the required areas of operation and installed to match the company’s requirements.

Our software offers complete scalability from single user systems to multi-depot, multi-company systems with hundreds of users. This makes ibcos Gold an ideal platform for the ever-changing business climate. The requirement for flexibility prompted us to develop a dual screen interface, with the option of any combination of Windows or Classic views.

A full service provision including all hardware, networking, installation, consultancy, training and on-going support can be provided; alternatively we can work with existing infrastructure.

Whilst the general needs of customers are covered by the basic dealer software, as described in detail on the Dealer Software pages, the Distribution Module has specific aspects which are detailed below.

Sales Features

  • Retail Prices can be set using a combination of buying category codes
    • and an uplift of either latest nett or current average price.
  • Distributor Price Lists can be produced - either on disk or printed.
  • Price Discounts can be set by part number or customer for price incentives
    • on goods that are purchase at high volumes.

  • Using the Foreign Currency module, a fixed retail price can be set in the specified foreign currency - regardless of exchange rate fluctuations.
  • Labels containing your own Part Number, Bar Code and Price can be printed - even generated automatically upon creation of a Sales Advice to a customer.




    • Manifest Procedures

  • The scheduling of deliveries to customers can be defined within the Shipping and Manifest routines.
  • Consignment notes can be printed for external carriers and delivery schedules for your own van driver.




    • Purchasing Features

  • Alternative Supplier Parts can be defined in a table containing their in-house part number, description and retail price.
  • Purchase Discounts by quantity breaks can also be defined at alternative supplier level.
  • Alternative Supplier Part Numbers can be printed on the purchase order, whilst your own Part Number is used to update stocks when the goods are received.
  • Priority Codes can be set for alternative suppliers based on price and delivery performance.




    • Price CDs

    Manufacturer price CDs are available to all Ibcos users for a wide variety of franchises. By converting the price CD to GOLD format, the dealer's parts file is automatically updated with new Retail and Dealer Nett prices. A report at the end of the exercise shows the overall movement for accountancy purposes. This is a time-saving routine providing accurate pricing minutes after a price change is made.
